Gees is located just past Bevington Road on the Banbury Road, between St Giles’ and Summertown. The restaurant is a 20-minute walk from Oxford city centre’s shops, art galleries, museums, and theatres. It’s surrounded by several University colleges, and the vast greenery of University Parks is a mere four minutes’ stroll away.
Whether you’re visiting for work or leisure, our reliable high-speed Wi-Fi network ensures that you can easily browse, stream, and stay in touch with friends and family. Access is simple – just connect to the ‘Guest Wi-Fi’ network and start exploring the web with ease. We’re committed to keeping you online, so you can make the most of your time with us. For business meetings, conferences and events, we have a dedicated conference network. Please ask our reservation and reception teams for access to this network.
Our Little Gees menu has something for all children, with little bites, tasty mains, a variety of fun and healthy sides, and sweet treats too. Your little ones can colour in while they wait – crayons and pencils are provided – while the child-friendly menu invites them to explore the underwater world of the fountain in Gees Secret Garden… featuring four very special goldfish.
In An Emergency…

Nearest Health Services
Woodstock Road Chemist is the closest pharmacy to the restaurant, just a five-minute walk away. If you are heading toward the High Street, we recommend Boots Pharmacy which is on Cornmarket Street. They both provide non-urgent medical advice and offer a variety of over-the-counter medications. In case of urgent medical assistance or advice, NHS 111 is available 24/7, 365 days a year; however, please be aware that NHS treatment is free only for UK residents. For those seeking private GP appointments on a walk-in basis, the Mayfield Clinic on Banbury Road comes highly recommended.
Travelling From Abroad?
Before travelling to the UK, it’s crucial to check whether you require a visa based on your nationality. Stay informed about the latest entry requirements by visiting the official UK website. Additionally, ensure a smooth stay by packing adaptors for your electric appliances, as UK power sockets use three-prong plugs distinct from EU and US connections. When it comes to currency exchange, the city centre offers numerous options. Consider exchanging currency at the centrally located exchange office, Oxford Post Office & Travel Money. Alternatively, several banks in the vicinity also provide currency exchange services for your convenience.
